Door-to-Door Visiting

One area we work in, is visiting people at their homes.

Jesus sent his disciples out, two by two, to go ahead of him to preach the good news. And Paul tells us in Acts 20:20-21, "I have not hesitated to preach anything that would be helpful to you, but have taught you publicly, and from house to house." It's a biblical principle.

It might seem strange, and you might think, well, such-and-such a sect does that. Yes, OK, they've misunderstood the message; but they're doing what Jesus wants us to do. We have a clear message from God, through the Bible, to go out where people are.

The church so often says "Come"; but Jesus said, "GO."

You might worry about what people might say to you. But over many years and knocking on well over a thousand doors, only 2 people were rude.

We have an easy approach that doesn't threaten people, and they can stop the discussion at any time.

Does it work? Yes. It is a real joy when the Holy Spirit  draws someone close to Jesus, and we see the person give their life to Jesus Christ, right there on the doorstep. It's the Lord's doing, not ours.
